The 17th Grand Alumni Homecoming at our Holy Angel University last December 27, 2008 was a very big day for all Batchmates of HAU HS Batch ‘71 FOREVER YOUNG. It was such a great day getting the most coveted awards during the celebration of the Alumni Homecoming, hosted by HS Batch 1983,  – Most Outstanding Alumni of HAU and 2nd prize winner in the dance competition.

Our very own Ms. NINFA AGAPITO ONG was chosen as one of the three MOST OUTSTANDING ALUMNI OF HAU for the year 2008.  She was joined by Ms. Teresita Wilkerson and Ms. Purita Sison for the said prestigious awards. These awards were given in recognition of their Outstanding Achievements in their respective profession. Several members of Batch ’71 were also there to join in the celebration and to witness the awarding ceremonies.

In addition, our own Forever Young Dance Group also won the 2nd prize in the group dance competition during the said Alumni festivities. The group composed of our Outstanding Alumni – Ninfa A. Ong, my beautiful wife Nette DG Nucum, Bing DJ Santos, Lady Enriquez, Ester Mallari, Glo P. Banal, Liza Pamintuan and Willy Aguilar.

December 27, 2008 was therefore a truly DOUBLE VICTORY AND CELEBRATION FOR HAU HS BATCH’71 – FOREVER YOUNG.

The Forever Youngs are now looking forward for their Joint 40th Anniversary Celebration with Batchmates based in the United States.

San Diego Get Together for Ning Agapito-Ong, Bing De Jesus-Santos, Irene Capati-Manalastas, 9 Aug 08 at Lot Gamboa-Sigarlaki’s Place.

Dearest Batch mates,

Once again, our group showcased what brotherhood and sisterhood is all about. Last Saturday's get together/welcoming party hosted by Rudy & Lot Gamboa-Sigarlaki for Ninfa Agapito-Ong, Sabrina "Bing" De Jesus-Santos and Irene Capati-Manalastas & hubby Edgar was again, a tremendous success. And ditto with NoCal hosted by Edith Pingul-Balanza the Saturday before. 

Geographical concerns was not at all an issue as shown by the presence of Joe & Susan Razon-Gonzalez who drove from Las Vegas to be with us. Los Angeles was properly represented despite the more or less than four (4) hours of travel to San Diego, courtesy of the I-5 traffic. On behalf of those who attended, we salute the Sigarlaki's for the tremendous effort given on the preparation for this party. From party chairs, tables and linens (which happened to match with our (myself, Remy Babanto's and Rica De Guzman's) shirts/tops. And by the way....the weather (below 80's) really cooperated. The backyard was well designed to accommodate a huge party. Now, I know why Lot is into dancing! There were galore of food prepared by the host and courtesy of batch mates who came to attend. Dancing was in place courtesy of Renato & Inday Dizon's unselfish teachings of ballroom and Latin dances. Batch mates and guests were dancing, and what a sight to see! Others were nailed in their seats just happy to watch the dancers twisting their feet and beautiful execution of the line dances from others.
